Lesson No 46: Change Is Growth
I didn’t purpose to be in the space that I find myself in. God plucked me from the path that I had set out for myself & set me on an alternative journey. At the start it all appeared somewhat ‘accidental’ but I know now that it was no accident, rather His design, His purpose for my life…
So now that I am here, these are my confessions…the lessons I am learning about being a woman in business, building an empire, one brick at a time…
“Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.”
Wayne W. Dyer
Change is tough. Often the head & heart are pulling in different directions, but I have learned that as difficult as it may be to navigate change – it can present a growth opportunity.
Today’s leaders are constantly confronted with situations they feel unsure about how to cope with, in order to create the best possible outcome. Leaders can get stuck & fail to change because of the disguised benefits of staying the way they are. As much as they wouldn’t admit it to themselves, they would rather stay in an uncomfortable known situation than change to a more comfortable, but uncertain, situation.
The truth is, change is an ever-present reality in today’s business world. Leadership success requires the ability to see the thread of opportunity that runs through change, and drive transformation – as an individual and across the organisation. Given time-out to think about it and consider the different options, it is possible to turn every situation into a possibility.
Emotional Intelligence is being more aware, more intentional & more purposeful.
At the core, Emotional Intelligence is something to BE.
By being more Emotionally Intelligent, smarter with feelings, leaders can create the energy that will propel them to their desired future state.
With Love,
The Queen Of Hearts
