Trade Tuesday: So – You Want To Go Global?
Benjamin P. Hardy
“Although you are the product of your environment, that environment must be your proactive decision. Otherwise, you’re living reactively.”
Success in any area of life never happens in a complete vacuum. Often it is just as much dependent on an individual’s environment, relationships, and outside circumstances as it is on their will-power, discipline, and intelligence.
So – you want to go global? Does your environment support this goal?
Whether you realize it or not, your environment is continuously influencing you. This can either be a force for good that helps you achieve your goals — or it can take your dreams and ambitions to the grave.
Tim Ferris
“You are the average of the five people you associate with most, so do not underestimate the effects of your pessimistic, unambitious, or disorganized friends. If someone isn’t making you stronger, they’re making you weaker.”
I have found this to be true. As a member of OWIT, I am in a space that is constantly challenging me to make good on my global dreams.
Who/what is OWIT? A group of women working hard to ensure their businesses’ go global.
At OWIT Nairobi, we have a vision to empower women to transform communities through global trade. We are committed to creating opportunities for women to connect to global markets. As a Business Support Organisation, we work closely with our members to ensure access to the necessary tools to build businesses that can go global.
Don’t just take it from me – I asked a few OWIT-ers, why they are members;

My journey to build an organisation that can go out & conquer the world began at OWIT. I know that in the company of OWIT-ers, I am on the right track & we will push each other to achieve our goals.
So, you want to go global? Let’s start at the beginning – are you in the right environment?
With love,
